Roy's Kitchen began with a simple love for food, family and the flavours of Mauritius.

Long before opening a restaurant, Roy was cooking the traditional dishes he grew up with at home. Food full of warmth, culture and memories. His professional journey started in a French restaurant as a kitchen porter, where hard work and determination led him to become Head Chef, specialising in French cuisine. He later expanded his experience across British and Mediterranean cuisine, building a rich and diverse culinary background.

With this experience, and a dream to share the food closest to his heart, Roy and his family started Roy's Kitchen.

The journey began in a dark kitchen in Streatham, continued in a pub kitchen in Coulsdon, and found its true home at Surrey Street Market in Croydon. With perseverance, passion and the support of our loyal customers, Roy's Kitchen grew from a small family catering business into a much-loved name for authentic Mauritian food.

Today, we are proud to open our very first restaurant in Ewell.

This new chapter is more than a restaurant opening. It is the fulfilment of a family dream. Every dish we serve is made with the same care, authenticity and passion that began in Roy's home kitchen.
